Time:Tide Collection
This collection is a response to my childhood recollections of holidays. They do not represent a particular place, but rather that they recall an emotional response to seeing the sea after a long journey. I hope that you will look at them and see your own special places and memories reflected within them.
Living by the sea gives me access to whatever is bought in on the tide and I make frequent beach forays to stake my claims. I re-use driftwood, sand, plastics, string and anything else that looks interesting along with dyes with jesmonite as my base material. I'm also fascinated by textures.
The pieces in this collection were made by creating layers each of which included a found material and then the finished block was sliced to reveal the patterns you see here.

Really pretty earrings which feature dyed jesmonite, driftwood, sand and plastic. Aluminium tubing and white metal finish the ear wires. They measure 4.5cm drop
This lovely pendant features mismatched brass tubing to create a focal point of interest. The pendant is made from layers of dyed jesmonite, driftwood, plastics and sand and is suspended on a teal silk/nylon cord. The pendant measures approximately 28 inches.
This pendant has one shaped face and one flat face and is fully reversible. It is made from layers of dyed jesmonite and beach finds. It is suspended on a coated steel wire cord and copper tubing. It measures 34 inches
This pendant offers two contrasting views for the wearer to choose from. Jesmonite is built up in layers along with driftwood, sand, plastics and dyes. It is supplied on a grey silk/nylon cord. It measures approximately 34 inches.
An aluminium collar sits comfortably round the neck and is then joined to the pendant with clear soft silicone cord. The pendant is made from layers of jesmonite, found driftwood, sand, plastics and dyes. The piece is fully reversible and features a different 'scene' on the other side. The length is approximately 30 inches.
This pendant is a one of a kind and features a double cord in bright pink silk/nylon cord which gives a great contrast. The pendant element is triangular and made of layers of jesmonite and beach finds. The length is approximately 29 inches.
